Module 3: Data Collection with ArcGIS Field Maps and Introduction to Projections
This is a collection of 3 maps, all being of the state of Florida and highlighting Miami-Dade, Escambia, Polk, and Alachua. Each map uses a different map projection, which allows us to see the slight difference between each coordinate system. This Module began with learning how to use ArcGIS Field Maps for Data collection. I learned how helpful and impactful the Field Maps app can be, especially if used to inform the general public and professionals of issues in an area. I chose to collect data of signs on the Florida State University Campus in Tallahassee, Florida. After learning how to create domains and feature classes, which made the organization of sign quality easier, I got to walking and taking photos. I found two signs on the campus that needed serious repairs (dented, very scratched, or not legible), and other signs that were in perfect condition.
